Spectacular ICC one-day international Player Award for De Villiers:

South Africa's AB de Villiers was rewarded as an “ICC one-day international Player” of the Year in Bangalore, India on Wednesday evening.
In 16 ODIs, De Villiers tallied 855 runs at an average of 71.25; run rate was very impressive which 103.38 runs per 100 balls faced is.
In such matches, De Villiers was ranked number one ODI batsman in the world, He scored 4 fifties and 4 centuries.

Achievements:

His centuries began with 121 while playing with England in Cape Town. After that he scored 114 not out vs. India in Gwalior following to that 102 not out with the Indians in Ahmadabad. He again followed that up with 102 against the West Indies.
After getting his award, De Villiers really enjoyed the season and was happy to be named as ODI Cricketer of the Year.


He is deserved for that by “Graeme Smith”:
Graeme Smith cricket captain of South Africa said: "He deserved this reward for all his hard work, dedication and the enjoyment he has brought to the cricket fans of the world through his extraordinary approach for the game.
He was the only South African who named in the ICC ODI Team of the Year.


Finalist for the award:
Hashim Amla is a finalist for the same award and he was also a finalist for Test Cricketer of the Year, the award went to Virender Sehwag for this year.
He was also named in the ICC Test Team, along with Jacques Kallis, and Dale Steyn, the number one test bowler in the world for some time now.
